FITC and other things

I was at a sizeable design/technology conference (FITC) just a few days ago, and it’s been crazy. I slept a combined total of very little hours this past week, coupled with graduating from school and starting a new internship. Tomorrow’s going to be my quiet day. I’ll be spending some time looking for the calm center of my brain. It’s probably in my closet, atrophying.
FITC was equal parts inspirational and terrifying. I met people at the top of their field, regular people with unspeakable genius - and only a few years older. It’s intimidating as hell but it’s probably about time I quit being a rabid talent-worshipper and start doing my own shit. No one celebrates mediocrity.
I’ve been working on a slew of things in and about this week; work projects, hobby projects, holding down my liquor, brown-bear projects. This small screenshot below is something I’m in the process of doing for work.
Yeah, it’s a dog. I had to pretend I knew how to draw not-bears, this is the first dog I’ve drawn since picking up digital art and he looks so wrong.

Hi guys. I write a little blog on my portfolio site, I just wanted to say that I’m going to start cross-posting the entries. I’ll still post them with whatever work-in-progress art bits I have, but this tumblr is going to start having a bit more text and personality.
